Shopping bargains

I often hear "just buy it when you get to Florida, it'll be much cheaper"

What bargains have you picked up in the Orlando area malls if any?

I must admit I'd rather be at a park than shopping any day so I'm not that familiar with the malls. I did buy a few sweaters at JC Penny on our last trip as the cold weather caught us out and I did like the shop very much.

I buy most of my bedding for the villa at JC Penney's. I love it.

Last year I found a TJ Maxx in Clermont and bought loads of my Christmas presents in there and brough them home to the UK.

I will definately go back there in August

oh I love the malls I spend as much time shopping as I do at the parks.

Clothes well I dont enjoy that shopping very much but jc penny are amazing for discounts The prices on the labels are sometimes crossed out about 5 times then when you go to the till they apply another three bar codes and specials I've had pants/shirts that I've seen in debenhams over here from jc penny and instead of £50 they've ended up costing $4 each or something. Crazy!

Electronics can go either way. Sometimes it's great value saving hundreds but more often than not when all the taxes etc are taken into account, there's no or minimal saving. So need to be very careful there.

I'm hoping to buy a video camera battery when we next visit. They're around £70 - £80 here at the moment online. Hoping to save a bit cash.

when we were younger hubby and I used to buy clothing, and we'd buy toys and shoes for Daniel, Mark and Sarah - they were the only nephews and niece at the time and we loved being able to spoil them with stuff they couldn't get in the UK!

When we took the boys we bought some souvenir clothing, shoes, unusual toys, remote control motorbike, cars and such like! One thing they loved was a little plastic case containing various dollar bills and coins....none of their friends had those!

so rather than bargains, we go for what we like as long as the price is reasonable!

i did see some Nascar bedding i wish i bought for the boys rooms though, wasn't sure on the sizes and went back a couple of days later to find it had all gone!

I usually buy things we can't get over here Although whilst I was there in 2005 my Mum bought one of the Harry potter books (Think it was the half-blood-prince but may have been order of the phoenix) a few days earlier than it was released

I love TJ's!! We have several here at home. You can get some really good bargains in Housewares!

i luv shopping over there hate it here tho. always buy lots of clothes. im quite partial to van heusen jumpers, polo shirts also ralph lauren polo shirts. not looking for bargains as everything is a bargain compared to here clothes wise, just look for something that really catches my eye then have to have it

Back in 2008 when the exchange rate was very much in our favour I bought a Pandora bracelet and about ten charms for half the price they were here. Now though they wouldn't be really any cheaper.
