Have you ever....
splashed out on something, spur of the moment that you've seen in a Disney store? Something you had no intentions of buying before you walked through the door.
DH thinks it only me so please, help me put him straight

Re: Have you ever....
Not strictly speaking in Disney, but we did splash out at the Wyland Gallery at the Boardwalk a few years ago.
I had just become a bit flushed with cash thanks to a dividend from my company after we had just had a thumping good year, and we saw a piece of sculpture called " The Perfect Wave" that we couldn`t resist.
We kept on returning to the store, and after much deliberation we went and bought it.
This was the first [and last] piece of fine art that we have ever bought, and despite it costing an arm and a leg, it has risen in value considerably over the years....apparently it was the most popular sculpture that Wyland ever produced, and a limited production to boot... so it turned out to be quite an investment.

Re: Have you ever....
I love Wyland's work, Slowhand!
I particularly love the sea turtle table he has.
Since we don't really consider ourselves shoppers, any time we walk into a Disney shop and walk out with something, it's a spur of the moment kind of purchase. With the exception of Herself's Lennox Snow White and the Boys collection, we don't usually have a plan to purchase any given item.
If we are going to spend more than the cost of a t-shirt, it's usually on a cookbook or other housewares item.
Thank you for being a member of our Secrets Family!!! We are so very pleased to have you with us!

Re: Have you ever....
I love the Wyland Gallery at BW too. So many fantastic pieces and we find the staff are always very nice there. Never bought anything though
I'm a sucker for Steamboat Willie so, if I ever see anything new with him in/on it, I usually end up buying it. I have quite a collection of SW plush/ornaments now
