.. favourite shopping mall over in Orlando? We visited the outlet mall and I think my parents visited the mall at millenia (I think that's what it's called?). I chose to go over to Typhoon Lagoon with our family friends as they'd visited before and I would rather have visited the water park

Well, we aren't big shoppers but we do like the Millenia Mall at Christmas as Bloomingdale's and Macy's always have killer deals on some big ticket items. They use them to lure you into the store... that's ok. We go in, buy the goodie and then get out!

We don't go to Florida Mall often, maybe once every two years or so.

We pretty much get all our shopping done at Winter Garden Village, with it's little low end shops.

Florida mall is our favourite of the two large ones. We hardly ever buy anything at the millenia mall, it's all designer stores :/ We love the cheesecake factory there and the mall looks wonderful. Shop wise though we can't find much

I used to love the atmosphere at Festival Bay Mall, but sadly most of the stores there are [or are about to be] closed. I suspect due to the success of the revamped Prime Oulet Mall just up the road.
So sad.

We used to go to Hilo Hattie's in Festival Bay. Talk about the quintessential hokey Hawaiian shop. But they had the BEST macadamia nuts and women's shirts. We were really sorry to see that it was gone.

Downtown Disney

Not a big shopper at all - I like interesting shops rather than endless hours shopping for clothes/electricals/games etc

We go to The Florida Mall for Build a Bear and the Hallmark shop and the sports memorabilia shop.

Mall at Millennia for the Cheesecake Factory

We then pop to individual shops we need like Sports Authority, Target, Michaels etc

I doubt many of us would have a reason to go, but do NOT go to West Oaks Mall in Ocoee. It's notorious for gang activity, and many people end up being mugged when there (of an evening mostly).

So, it's not convenient to Disney, but still worth warning anyone away.

yes indeed, very sad that but you know, DW and I were pondering this on the last visit. We're both sure that we visited it in November but it wasnt there this may. It's almost as if they're renting it on a short term basis each christmas or something? Interesting to see if it's back this year or we were just hallucinating

Prime is now the revamped Beltz Mick.
It is now crammed with stores...and people unfortunately!
