No more silly green visa waiver forms from jun 22nd
GREEN VISA WAIVER FORMS
The US Customs and Border Protection agency have advised that there will soon no longer be a requirement for passengers travelling to the US under the Visa Waiver Programme to complete a green immigration form (I-94Ws). This will take effect on an airport by airport basis from 8 June 2010 onwards.
As per the schedule below the green Visa Waiver Form (I-94W) will no longer be necessary for flights departing on and after:
8 June – Los Angeles and Las Vegas
15 June – Chicago and San Francisco
22 June – Miami and Orlando
29 June – Washington, Boston, New York (JFK and Newark)

Where the fun in that? - the holiday only really starts for me when we are at the hotel in gatwick , shotingat the kids to be quiet, then softly cursing and ripping up yet another form as I've use d the wrong line
will the customs form still need to be done? I guess it will

Re: No more silly green visa waiver forms from jun 22nd
i really dont see what all the fuss was about filling these forms in, they are just a form, only take a few mins to fill in. i did all four of ours. no problem at all. what i didnt understand is why you had to still fill them in after esta was introduced, your doing the same thing twice

Re: No more silly green visa waiver forms from jun 22nd
It wasn't the questions with me Mick it was the way they had the boxes arranged, it was very easy to enter the wrong thing on the wrong line, clearly I wasn't alone in this as they were forever handing out new ones.

I still thought it was daft anyway, havingto fill one out for Matthew who wasn't even 1 year old declaring that he hadn't been involved in the hollocaust

Re: No more silly green visa waiver forms from jun 22nd
i know, filling them in for kids, for the questions it asked was stupid. i never found that tbh i never had to ask for a new one coz i mucked it up. but yes as you say clearly some people have problems with them. also the questions it did ask, as if you were going to own up to some of them anyway
