The must do place!
We never eat at nice restaurents in or around the hotels at Disney, we usually just grab CS food during the day and stop off somewhere on IDrive on the way back. Am thinking maybe on our next trip it would be nice to go somewhere and have a proper decent meal.
So, if you could recommend somewhere - where would it be? We will just be visiting MK and DHS, so if its in either of those parks then thats fine, hotels are fine too!

Re: The must do place!
You really are spoit for choice here Kate as there are loads of really nice restaurants in the resorts which are close to MK. [The GF, Poly & Contemp]
A short and pleasant walk from DHS will take you to the Boardwalk area where you will find the Flying Fish.
Around the lake is the Yacht & Beach Club, & the Swan & the Dolphin, all of which have some very good restaurants.
Please note however that many of these restaurants do have a dress code so turning up in park attire is a no-no.

Re: The must do place!
I suppose it depends on how "upscale" you want to be. If you're talking top shelf with a dress code and the like then you've got places like the YSH. Any of the places Slowhand mentioned are also very nice.

However, if you're talking more in the parks but still fun or nice kind of fare and you're going to be at DHS, then one of my personal favorites is the 50's Prime Time cafe.
A sit down, home cooking type of meal from the American home of the 1950's. Just be sure to eat your vegtables or Mom may make you stand in the corner!
