Do you make ADRs and then not use them?

go on, be honest the latest reports from disney say that some people are booking popular places like le cellier twice at different times on every night of their vacation even using neighbours names to avoid being caught by Disney's systems

so do you make ADRs and not keep them or do you cancel every single one?

Re: Do you make ADRs and then not use them?

      OOOH! Good question!

If it's a popular place I *always* cancel. Always. I would feel awful if I didn't. (Not saying anyone who doesn't is awful, just my personal compass ) I've even walked UP to the check-in counter at my appointed time and said, "I'll not be using my ADR today." That way if someone walks up...they get a little magic.

I will admit to giving some places a miss after having made ADR's...after all, sometimes your eyes are indeed bigger than you stomach...especially six months out!!

I have made double ressies for places like Le Cell during the "planning phase" but once my itinerary is pinned down, I'll go back and cancel any duplicates I know I won't be using.

Re: Do you make ADRs and then not use them?

The ADR's I make, I keep and if I find I'm not going to use one, I call in and cancel . That is terrible to hear that people are doing that . No wonder its so hard to get an ADR at the popular restaurants .

      Wow, that's really mean.

I was too ill to go to a couple of the meals that we had booked last year but we rang and cancelled as soon as we knew. I wouldn't even consider multi-booking or not cancelling.

Re: Do you make ADRs and then not use them?

If I make an ADR, I keep it and use it.

If I have to cancel an ADR, I do so as soon as I know. Every single time!

I absolutely refuse to be so selfish as to make multiple ADR's in the full knowledge that I'll only use the particular one I want.

That's abhorrent behavior in my opinion!

Re: Do you make ADRs and then not use them?

I have never and will never double book an ADR. And if I have made one that I can't use for whatever reason it does get canceled.

If Le Cellier has become that popular then it is time to put a CC hold on it.

Re: Do you make ADRs and then not use them?

I do tend to cancel if I know I won't be using it. I do book things with the intention of going but sometimes you find out the day of that you just cannot eat at another TS restaurant!

We always use our reservations and if we couldn't we would cancel. thumbs down for those who don't. And we don't double book either.

Re: Do you make ADRs and then not use them?

I had to recently put a CC deposit at MaMa Melrose for the Fantasmic package . Never had too before, so perhaps WDW is getting wise to these multiple ADR's .
