Just a thought though...are pins allowed in hand luggage?

We didn't risk it last year just in case but would hate for them to be confiscated

Has anyone actually been killed by a pin before?

No but i have seen them confiscated before as they are sharp.

My dad had his nail clippers taken away from him before a flight to Tampa last year and they were just a small pair on his keys.

I don't think anyone has been killed by a full size bottle of shampoo but I can't take that on the plane either

I don't know I've seen some dodgy bottles of shampoo before. They blind you first then go in for the jugglar. I've even heard they go round in packs with mini nail clippers....don't be fooled. Grrrrr.....

Yes, it is official I have completely lost it.

Have a great trip Dawn, be safe and keep away from suspicious bottles of shampoo and don't forget the conditioner, this is the daddy of all vicious toiletries.

Well I can understand the liquid thing but nail clippers????????? and pins? Good grief.

You could technically take an eye out with nail clippers if you were that way inclined I guess.

Saturday 31st July

There has been this funny wet stuff coming down from the sky during the night. It hasn't rained here for a couple of weeks.

Steven had his first senior grade karate class last night. Talk about proud parent moment. He was easily the youngest one there and was completely overwhelmed by it all to begin with but he stuck at it and had a go. A couple of months ago he would have lasted 3 minutes before climbing on to my lap in tears. Last night he kept going for the whole hour and even put some of the seniors to shame during the final sprint session.

2 weeks today!!!!
