I have a question for you if you don't mind, though it might sound an odd one. What exactly can't you stop thinking about? What's giving you THAT feeling? The animals? People? Culture? An even mix of it all?

The people, the country, the wildlife, the poverty.... and the nagging feeling I should be doing something

I suppose you find the country that captures your heart....then help. I felt that way India also, then the Maldives, and then I suppose I felt so overwhelmed I felt I could do nothing but throw money at it....my very good friend went to Sri Lanka, felt something and set up a charity which looks on the surface like a help for dogs but actually helps the whole society. She spend a third of her time there now. I suppose it's finding the focus and working out a strategy.....anyway, I am digressing from your thread with my thoughts, but I suppose we al get in a reflective mood in this thread.....

Please don't worry Deb , posted on another forum about this and apparently I'm not the first to have this epiphany.

A week ago we saw kids begging for water , and this week we have seen the west up in arms about the really big issues like people putting kittens in bins. Much as it's an unpleasant feeling in some ways, I don't want it to leave me.
