Some decoration help..

I know this doesn't totally fit in this section, but I thought the crafty/creative people might be able to help a bit.

Dh and I bought a whole bunch of black and white floor tile thinking that we were going to re-do our kitchen floor. This was before we decided to sell the house.

So when we started looking at houses we decided we would just take it with us. So now the house we are buying really doesn't need any new flooring. The kitchen/dining room does need an update, but it will be some time before we remodel. So we are thinking about using a small amount of the tile to do the master bathroom floor. Ok so Dh is ok with this but he doesn't want the walls painted all white.

What can I do with a black and white floor in a bathroom without being able to paint the walls white? :sigh;

Paint some of the walls white and do one red? Kind of jazzy for a bathroom, but that's what we've done here. (More than one color on the walls of a same room).

May I say something? Be very careful with the accents in a black and white room? I've seen some that are absolutely hideous given the accents like curtains/drapes, pillows, ect. Black and white with or without an accent color can be very sophisticated. Done wrong? Not nice.

If you don't like red, you could pick another accent color. Black and white floor, with some white wall(s) and what other color do you like? pick up that secondary color for bath towels, bath mats, etc.

OOOOH! Those lovely Mickey Towels! The ones with a bit of plaid ribbon trim, and Mickey (or Minnie's) head? That would be SOOOOO coool! There would be a touch of yellow in there too, for variety.

will your DH do a Disney bathroom theme? Subtle of course, very subtle.

Just looked at the items through the link. They are very nice, but not the ones I meant. Shellyamc's DH might like those (the ones in the link) better as they seem more masculine than the ones I had in mind.

You guys are so good! I leave for 10 minutes and you already have a Disney bathroom for me!! Perfect!! I like the idea of a colored wall, I didn't really think of that.

I love the Disney, of course, and that would go really nice. I think Dh would like it. It may not be Mickey right away, but we could get everything set up for it.

Super ideas
