can anyone tell me if there is a way to remove icons from your ipad screen not apps but bookmark internet pages i have saved? help i cant figure it out

Not really sure what you mean daveann?

Do you have bookmarks as icons on your iPad? How on earth did you do that?

You should be able to remove any icon just like you'd remove an application icon. Just hold your finger on the icon. After a few seconds, all the icons will start to wiggle and each one should have a little "X" on the corner. Just tap the "X" for any you want to get rid of. When you're done, tap the "Home" button to make all the icons stop wiggling.

when you save a bookmark it gives an option to save to screen thats how i did it

Hasn't this always been a feature? When viewing a web page in safari (on ipad and iphone), hit the "+" button, and it gives you three options - add bookmark, add link to home screen, email link.

Yep. That's exactly what it does.
