Waterparks
We have never been to a water park in Florida. They have never appealed to us.
Do you visit them?
What are the pros and cons of these parks?
What about tips for waterparks?

Re: Waterparks
We absolutely love the waterparks, both Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach. We visit at least one each visit.
The only downside is that if it thunders you have to leave the water and stay out for at least 1/2 since the last lightning was spotted.
Not sure about tipping as there's no restaurants, just kiosks
You should visit next time Di, there's so much fun to be had

Re: Waterparks
I would have liked to have gone when I was younger and healthier. Now I'm not sure I could handle the rides I would really like to do. This has never been Donna's bag.

Re: Waterparks
DH asked if we had the waterparks option on our tickets earlier this year but I really don't fancy them

I imagine them to be overcrowded and very very noisy.

Re: Waterparks
Never once been and really think I should at least once!!
We often see people dressed in just a towel and not much else come shivering onto the disney buses and I guess that puts us off a little
but they do look like fun

Re: Waterparks
diane
one thing the waterparks are not, is very very noisy, you would be surprised, even tho there are a lot of people it isnt OMG i cant stand this this noise
we go atleast or try to go 4 times, twice to each park, i like to call them my down days, where i can relax right in front of the pool at either park on the sandy beach, listen to the piped music, which incidentally as didney do so well, adds to the atmosphere of the park. its not loud bu ther e are speakers dotted about everywhere.
blizzard beach has more rides for the thrill seeker
typhoon lagoon is more relaxing, but every 90 seconds you hear a bang and all the kids scream in the pool as the wave starts to approach them lol they know its coming but still scream everytime. its great to watch them too. the lazy river is really nice to just relax on too
id try TL for a first visit, i think you would be quite surprised, i would be really surprised if you didnt like them
you should keith atleast once to decide if they are for you or not
one tip tho get there early so you get a good spot, there are lots of nooks and crannies with small sandy bits with beds and chairs to relax in away from the main pools. the usual american food of burgers and chips and stuff, there are a few other choices
as the saying goes you cant dislike something until you have tried it
