iPhone 4 scratched!

I only got it yesterday, have a case on it, just picked it up from table to download new app and I've found a scratch on it! It's supposed to be really hard! I've never scratched my 3G, anyone knows if this is a common fault and what I can do about it? Thanks

Not heard of it being common in any way :/ on the screen or on the back?

omg! really bad or thin one?

I know it's not much use but I didn't even take the plastic off mine until I got a screen protector on it. Same one I've used on all my iphones from power support

You could try a screen protector on it. That's about all I can think of. The glass is too hard to try to polish it out. And besides, that would probably remove the coating on it. A screen protector "might" hide the scratch so it's not visible. All depends on how bad the scratch is.

Guess I better get one for my iphone since I upgraded to the iPhone 4 today!

Jon said it was tougher than my old one which was covered until the last 3 months and has nothing on it

Wish me luck! Personally I think if it 'needs' a screen protector it should either come with one or some type of warning in the packaging. There isn't!

I have a replacement phone nearly didn't though. First guy I spoke to basically said it was obviously my fault, he said I'd have to see a technician. Next appointment.......Wednesday afternoon, I kind of laughed in a hysterical way, I said I live over 50 miles away! He said can't you come after work we're open till 9pm. I said no sorry, he shrugged, I said could I speak to the manager please, sure he goes off and says come back in 30 mins and I can get a tech to see you.


So I go back and the guy that checks me in says oh dear that's not good, don't worry we'll sort you out. The tech was fantastic, was sympathetic and changed the phone for me, no question. He totally understood when I said that I nearly cried when I saw the scratch last night! My faith in apple is restored, And I now have a cover on it!

And one more reason why Apple has some of the highest customer satisfaction scores in the industry!
