NASA has announced the delayed launch of space shuttle Discovery will now take place on Wednesday, November 3rd at 3.52pm. local time. The delay has been due to a leak in one of the shuttle’s engines which has now been repaired. The weather forecast for Wednesday is excellent with a 70 percent chance of good weather at launch time. If the launch cannot take place the launch window will be extended until Sunday November 7th.

Discovery is headed to the International Space Station for an 11-day mission to deliver the Permanent Multipurpose Module and its host of supplies and equipment to the orbiting outpost. Kennedy Space Center has announced any launch tickets already bought will remain valid for the launch attempt on Wednesday.
