Hello Disney Secrets!

My sister and I are starting to plan a trip to WDW for next year and I was trying to figure out when the Spring Break crowds will be in the Parks.
During my research, I came across this site, and I'm just blown away! This is awesome!

So, does anyone have some advice re avoiding Spring Breaker-ers? I was thinking probably the end of April-beginning of May? How's the weather then?

I don't know when spring break falls next year as I'm in the UK but weather wise I believe it will be lovely that time of year.

Our Easter Holiday falls end of April so it may still be slightly busy, I thibk May may be a bit less so?

Hi Heidi! We went during April way back in 1988 and although I can't remember the crowd levels, I do remember how gorgeous the weather was.

Hello Heidi and welcome to Disney Secrets. Spring breaks vary with local school districts and the colleges. It is really hard to predict when it will be very busy at WDW and when it won't but perhaps someone with more experience at that time of year will be along with an answer.

Our local school district has spring break scheduled for the week of April 4th next year. However, like others have said, it varies depending on the school district. I'd probably lean a little more to the beginning of May rather than April if I were planning it. That way, I think you stand the best chance of slipping in between spring break and summer vacation.

Weather wise, it should be quite nice. Typically with highs in the upper 80's and night time lows in the middle to upper 60's. Of course, with the weather, your mileage may vary.

No matter. A bad day at Disney World is better than a good day pretty much anywhere else!

Thank you all for your replies, they were very useful. We're going to stay at the Port Orleans French Quarter, (we love that one) and probably do a dining plan. Don't you just love this? When you know you're going to go and you have all the fun of planning and deciding? It's (almost) as fun as being there!
Oh, and absolutely, a bad day at Disney is better than a good day almost anywhere else! Last time I was at Disney World, January '08, we almost froze to death! It was 32 degrees before the wind chill, and then by the end of the week it was 70! Wonderful experience, though.

POFQ looks really nice as does POR. i did some research and wrote an article for both for the main site, and would love to go visit both next trip. never stayed onsite before and have only ever set foot on disney property last trip in 08 and that was the boardwalk. loved the look of that, although it was raining that night and got soaked going round the lake
