Which TV would be better suited for 3D Led or Plasma?

Re: 3d TV - anyone got one yet?
I preferred the 3d on the plasmas in the store, but the 2d on the led, which we will use it for 99.999% of the time.
However now I have it home the 3D is exceptional on the samsung, occasional cross talk but , frankly, I get that when I watch 3D in the cinema.
Watched live golf in 3D last night and when it worked it was phenomenal !!! Some of the crowd looked off at times but this was a live event in. 3D!!!!!
I think I have finally worked out why people say the LCDs don't look real and why the plasmas look more 'cinematic' - I think it's because they are slightly lower definition ! A film at the cinema isn't exactly HD is it, it's just huge. The Harry potter we watched yesterday was so real they could have been in the room, which isn't how it felt in the cinema.
watched land of the lost volcano in HD yesterday and WOW!!!!
The 3D is a great gimmick and I am sure it will grow so I wanted that functionality but for me the LEDs were the better televisions.

Re: 3d TV - anyone got one yet?
Congratulations

Went o the Sony store in Eastbourne to look at the set up options for the Sony HT IS100 to look at the connectivity to see if I could make it all work and I was very impressed by it , bass was awesome and believe it or not the speakers ( all 5) fit in the palm of your hand!!! They are microscopic.
How much is it , I asked
£540 he says
Right ho, says I , sorry mate but amazon are selling it for £400 delivered
' to be honest mate , we are being liquidated and the store is closing on Thursday you can have it for 400 now'
Hmmm ok I'll need 3 optical cables how much are they?
30 quid each
'checking the stock we only have one left that was used as a demo in another store - would you take it off our hands with 3 cables for £350 ???
Well yes yes I did
It completes the package, all set up and the bass is awesome even on 'default' and I will have fun setting that up , ps3 sounds good through it too.
Chuffed for you jeff, have fun with it buddyLast edited by Skywatcher; 16-01-2011 at 08:48 PM.
