If an iPhone is out of warranty and it breaks what options are there to get it fixed? I know there is a battery replacement program, do they swap to a working phone for a fee? Thanks

Josh is the best one to ask there because I think he's tried it. As I understand it, Apple have some kind of scheme where you can swap it out for a replacement one for a fee or you can pay for a fix.

There are third party fixers too and then there are people selling things like screens on ebay

Ok thanks thinking of giving my old iPhone to Dan instead of getting him a new itouch but if it goes wrong don't want to fleece him!
