Have a safe flight home Keith. The time seems to have passed by so fast.

Safe flight home hun :hugs: :hugs:

If ever there is a tomorrow when we're not together.......
there is something you must always remember.
You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.
But the most important thing is, even if we're apart...... I'll always be with you.

A friend is a hand that is always holding yours,
no matter how close or far apart you may be.
A friend is someone who is always there and will always, always care.
A friend is a feeling of forever in the heart.

Re: Here we go...
It really was a superb view, didn't half make it hard to leave though!
Every time I woke up, first thing I saw was the castle. Every evening was a private wishes fireworks show with the music piped in on channel 20 on the in room tv.
The room itself was just a "deluxe studio - theme park view bay lake tower". After discounts etc. it was about $200 a night and to be honest, I'd have paid that just for the view of wishes!

Re: Here we go...
Oh it was truly wonderful. I'm usually ready to leave, strange as it may sound!, knowing I'll be back soon. This time I could've just spent forever watching the view.
It stays lit for hours after park closing just changing colours. At closing time all the buses came and I could see them all queuing up and the hoards of people. The main sound was the BEEP BEEEEP BEEEP of the buses lowering themselves to load wheelchairs etc.
Gradually it all died away just leaving a strange quiet, fewer lights and the castle just changing colours gradually. Of course even better with the icicle christmas display on it.
Eventually the lights went out but it was still visible and just looked like it was asleep for the evening
the park was still very much lit though with all the people cleaning it etc. Plenty of backstage activity just about viewable
I am thanksHopefully you're all safe and snug at home now - blooming cold innit?!
just made it before the mega-snowfall

Absolutely amazing Keith. How did you manage to get such a great view and where did you get all the discounts?

Re: Here we go...
Well the discounts were nothing particularly special. I started off booking rack just to make sure of the room for the dates ages ago, then as different discounts opened up I swapped :/ AP, pin code etc. Everytime a new one arrived in my email there seemed to be a better rate albeit slim availability. I really think BLT is a bargain at the moment, I'm sure it won't always be that way.
In terms of view, well as far as I know there's only one side of the building, the front, that's classed as theme park view since the sides don't face in that direction. So I just selected it online! The only problem we've seen with BLT is that once, despite selecting and paying for theme park view, we were allocated a room on a low level which afforded a great view of the monorail but really got in the way of the Castle. A quick moan and we were relocated to a higher floor. I don't know if they've learned and stopped allocating lower rooms as theme park view since we haven't had the problem since that time. (The contemporary has always classified lower floors even on the MK side as cheaper non-mk view rooms but BLT doesn't seem to have such a category)
