I agree Keith.
My DW and I dined at the Chef`s Table on our silver wedding anniversary. There were just the two of us and it did feel kinda strange. I much preferred our later visits when there were others dining with us.
That said, remember that at the Chef`s Table you are not presented with a menu before your meal, although you are given one at the end of your visit "tailor made" just for you. Instead, the head chef comes to your table and discusses your likes, hates and allergies etc. etc. and then you just leave it up to him/her to prepare your meal.
