will you be getting an ipad2?

So it looks like the ipad 2 will be announced on the 2nd March although probably not available for a month or so after. Rumours have it being updated with facetime cameras, possibly thinner/lighter but without the major changes to the display with retina and so on which were expected.

So will you be buying or upgrading to one?

If you're an ipad 1 user, would you buy a different version this time? ie. do you wish you'd bought one with more storage? or with 3g? or without 3g because you never use it

Hmm, I don't think I will be buying the next model. The original ipad was expensive enough and I still find is great and does everything i need, so will be sticking with it for the time being.

Ditto, battery life is fine, it's thin and light enough for me. The display looks very sharp to my dreadful eyes anyway and I would never use the cameras, I have the 64 and haven't used anywhere near the capacity ,so unless there is something major I really can't see the point.

Seems quite soon to be having an upgrade and to most of the pele I know untreated the iPad is still very 'new' and most are still in the initial stages of whether to go for it or not, what the dimples of an early upgrade to the 2 seem to have done is stopped people buying the 1 for the last few months!

All a bit bizarre

Only thing I could possibly fault with the 1 is that since multitasking came in the battery life seems significantly shorter to me, it's still fine for what I use it for though

Really need to see what the next model brings. When I use my current one, I'm not thinking "I wish it had......" so I wonder if anything will tempt me to spend another serious amount of cash on the new one. I think thinner/lighter would be great but worth buying again?

I wouldn't get 3g again, I havent used it at all and with the iphone 4.3 working as a wifi hotspot, I just don't need that. So I'd get a larger capacity and forget the 3g next time.

In the forthcoming ios, which most of us are using already as a beta, it can set the phone as a wifi hotspot for a number of devices. So your ipad can then connect to it just like any wifi spot and voila!

The grrsome aspect is that you need "tethering" turned on for the phone by your cell provider which I think is usually 7quid a month or something. Still, it's a nice way to work

i didnt get 3g and only got 32gb which still has loads of space on it. wont be upgrading as my faithful does everything i require it to do its been my best buy i use it everyday and charge it about every couple of days

i havent gone with iphone 4 or 3gs yet either still on the old iphone 3
