Im starting to get tempted by the new 17" one

despite the fact that my current 15" one is new, perfect and does not need replacing in any way whatsoever

Keep in mind Johnie, you can sign up for free workshops at the Apple store.

I think you've got a store somewhere around you.

They've also got the Genius Bar where you can make a reservation to talk to what they refer to as a "Apple Genius" who can help you with loads of things including your Mac and your iPad or iPhone. The one I dealt with when my original iPhone died was quite good. And he got me a new phone for free even though mine was out of the warranty period.

Course, first ask all of us. We'll be glad to help also.

BTW - just for future reference, do you have a home wireless network?
