Recently keepers and park guests gathered to celebrate Eva the hippopotamus' 50th birthday. An underwater cake made of carrots, sweet potatoes, pears, bamboo and hibiscus flowers was constructed by the animal care team's divers on the floor of the hippopotamus viewing tank in Edge of Africa, where the public could view the 2,700 pound female chow down for the occasion.
