Re: Car hire questions
Well true
but I was thinking that if I made it clear I was comparing different providers and alamo (for example) said I didnt NEED breakdown cover... I'd get something approaching the truth from them
ooo ok wow ! I'll look through the moutains of paper and see what I can find! I just dont want to be caught on the side of the i4 without any idea who to call.. but on the other hand I don't want to pay for something I dont need!On the back of our Dollar paperwork from last year (the bit with all the terns and conditions on) it has these two numbers:
Customer Service: 800-800-5252
24 Hour Roadside Assistance: 800-800-235-9393
OOOOOO thanking you muchly missI've had a look at carhire3000 for the difference in cost for 2 weeks in December:-
actually it'll be 3 weeks in December gasp but yeah, I think sticking to the premium makes sense for that kind of additional cost

Re: Car hire questions

If ever there is a tomorrow when we're not together.......
there is something you must always remember.
You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.
But the most important thing is, even if we're apart...... I'll always be with you.
Winne the Pooh - A A Milne

A friend is a hand that is always holding yours,
no matter how close or far apart you may be.
A friend is someone who is always there and will always, always care.
A friend is a feeling of forever in the heart.

Re: Car hire questions
VERY interesting thread indeed, thanks for pointing it out.. hmmmm I'm really going to have to find out what level of breakdown cover is included with the various companies. If I were driving a computer I'd have a reasonable shot at fixing anything that happens, but a car? It may as well be a quantum warp drive from the planet zog

The insurance not included thing I was aware of. I have a car from Virgin for December thrown in and it's already obvious to me that as it stands, the "thrown in" means "need to spend a few hundred on supplements and insurance".
I'm sure someone else mentioned about extra insurance for windscreens etc but I cant remember who :/
