      what happens when the parks open?

      Question please we've been told that if we get there before the parks open we'll see things that only happen at that time? special openings or something? Anyone heard of this and is it at all the parks?

      You know, this is something I've never seen in all my times at Disney but I believe there is some kind of park opening ceremony

      It varies from park to park. At MK the Mouse himself comes riding out on the train. At AK they may have some characters dancing to the music. I don't believe I've ever been at EPCOT right at opening time so can't answer there. At DHS we've always been so far back we can't see what is happening.

      Well that's probably because you're still in bed

      I remember the times when you got there really early on mornings when there weren't EMH. We would see Mickey and then walk down Main Street and stand in front of the rope at the entrance to Adventureland. When the rope dropped people dashed off everywhere We used to go to Splash Mountain first, it was a case of who could run the fastest to be the first in line.

      Nowadays, they walk slowly with the rope in front of you mind you there is no way I'd be running anywhere now
