George Lucas to make surprise appearance at Star Tours re-launch

Star Wars creator George Lucas will be at Disney’s Hollywood Studios May 20 for the grand re-opening celebration of “Star Tours – The Adventures Continue.”

**Beginning Friday, passholders can visit Star Wars Weekends and check out merchandise designed for them. A T-shirt shows Jedi Mickey battling Darth Vader and a pin features a spinning lightsaber. Both will be available for purchase at Jabba’s Hutt, located behind Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster. The tent will be open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from May 20 through June 12.

On June 3 to 5, passholders are invited to stop by Jabba’s Hut to collect their complimentary Star Tours lanyards. The retooled Star Tours opens May 20 and is the centerpiece for this year’s celebration. Each passholder must present a valid Disney World pass and a photo ID.
