Cheap international drive hotels v disney hotels

I think I already know the answer but I'll try anyway

we're going on a budget and some of the costs of even the value resorts are quite high this year

I was thinking we could stay in one of the many cheaper hotels outside disney but I dont know what we'd lose out on? Disney transport perhaps? themes I guess?

Anyone can use Disney transport. Will you have a car? If not you'll have to rely on shuttles from your hotel, which can be spotty at best, taxis (expensive) or the Lynx bus. If you have a car you'll pay either $14 or $15/day to park at WDW. Yes you will miss the Disney ambiance but what you really have to weigh is the TOTAL cost, not just the hotel cost.

we stay both on and off site sometimes you can get a good deal and it be the same price as staying off site. the extra magic hours are brill if your onsite but food is cheaper and more choice off site

There are lots of hotels for accommodation; one need not worry for the accommodation in Disney land. But it is always better to book your accommodation in advance so that one can even save money and time. These hotels offer world class amenities for the customers; one will certainly not regret his stay in Disney hotels.
