how many dining reservations
How many restaurants do you book whilst at Disney? do you book one meal for lunch and dinner or do you just book a few important ones and then wing it?

Re: how many dining reservations
We tend not to make any lunch reservations as we always ensure that we have a hearty breakfast and then grab a snack at lunchtime so as not to spoil our dinner which actually is one of the things that we really look forward to.
We always make dinner ADR`s for our "must do" WDW restaurants when we are staying on site and the "wing it" when we are at our villa, and we are spoilt for choice of venues, many of which are a darn sight less expensive than at WDW to boot!

Re: how many dining reservations
If we are going to be in a park that is open late into the evening, I will make an ADR for dinner. Otherwise we just eat wherever we fancy at the time - often offsite.

Re: how many dining reservations
As we don't stay onsite we tend to just make reservations at our favourite restaurants.
We've normally had a large breakfast so don't bother with lunch very often, if we are peckish then we just grab anything.
If you want to go to one of the character breakfasts, I would also make a reservation for this.
I would think if you were to be staying on site and had the premium eating plan then you would need to make all your reservations, especially if you have certain places you want to eat.
If ever there is a tomorrow when we're not together.......
there is something you must always remember.
You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.
But the most important thing is, even if we're apart...... I'll always be with you.

no matter how close or far apart you may be.
A friend is someone who is always there and will always, always care.
A friend is a feeling of forever in the heart.

Re: how many dining reservations
We try and have one ADR per day. For example on our trip earlier this month we had:
Saturday - lunch at Yak & Yeti
Sunday - 7:15 seating @ Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue
Monday - Dinner at The Plaza
Tuesday - Dinner at 50's Prime Time

Re: how many dining reservations
Rarely do we do two ADRs in a day. Those that we do are normally for dinner. Breakfast is normally either the food court or something we grab in the park. Lunch is normally something quick.

Re: how many dining reservations
Like most others, we tend to make evening ADRs.
It used to be that we filled up the holiday with one every evening but as Disney Dining got more expensive and less good quality, we've started to add in more offsite restaurants and reduce the Disney ADRs.
We start by making our ADRs for the Luau and hoop dee doo which by tradition, we always do on every visit. The California Grill, Victoria and Albert are next.
