Old Disney Fan needs a bit of advice on water parks
We've been to Typhoon Lagoon many many moons ago. So now that our latest WDW trip is coming up, I'd like to take the DGD's to a waterpark but I'm not sure which one they'd enjoy the most. I know that Typhoon Lagoon is geared more towards the older kids, but seeing that Caitie and Bria are only 9 and 7, and they're not exactly expert swimmers...ok, they float really good...which would you guys recommend?

This is a difficult one, both TL and BB have things for younger children. I think BB is more of the high, drop slides, but they do have Ski Patrol Training Camp which is for inbetweeners, which looks good.
We've only known friends with boys go to the water parks and they were 9 and 7 and aren't scared of anything
Sorry I'm not much help really am I

We were just at Typhoon Lagoon two weeks ago and I would have to say this is the better of the two WP for kids of that age. Crush n Gusher is awesome!! You can ride up to three people so you could go with them on this. It's got a better wave pool and lazy river and the slides seem to be a bit tamer.

Nope. Three votes for Typhoon Lagoon now.

Unless mine doesn't count?
Why? I just like it better. BB just impresses me as too fast and furious. TL is, to me anyway, much more relaxed and casual. Especially with kids that age who aren't as you say, the best swimmers.

ALL votes count here. If it was just up to me, I'd to Typhoon Lagoon cos of Shark Reef...I absolutley LOVED it.
I have to do this sneakily...."Hey girls!!! Which water park would you like to go to IF we ever went to WDW?"

Typhhon Lagoon vote from me too!
I haven't been to BB, as a non swimmer I never fancied it as it gives the impression of being BIG slides and that's just not for me!
We all absolutely loved TL last time, it was the first time the boys (they were 10 and 5) had ever been. The lazy river was a hit, the wave pool they found great fun, family raft ride which i can't remember the name of...that was a blast! And they had huge fun in the kiddies area!
Oh and just messing in the Crush and Gusher pool (in the safe area) while we sat on the beach chairs relaxing with our feet in the water......I remembering all the fun we had as I type!
ohhhhhhh, I wanna go back now!
