Re: Who to book with?
First you need to know using a travel agent never cost more than doing it yourself. In fact it is usually cheaper. I posted on these boards deals that came out 5/29. I live in AZ and I was up 4 am on a Sunday morning since Disney opens at 7 est converting 11 reservations I had in September to the discounted rate. I had one family save almost $700 on their vacation at the Polynesian. What would you do with an extra $700 on vacation? I lost $70 in commission on that family alone. I was up 4 am on a Sunday while everyone else was asleep and lost over $1800 that morning and I loved every minute of it! Because that' what I do, save people money and I LOVE DOING IT! That's why I started Mickey's Travel.
That's the difference in a Disney vacation specialist compared to even Disney themselves. 7 out of 10 Disney Reservation agents would not tell you there are discounts during your travel dates when you call. The thing is you have nothing at all to loose with booking through a Disney vacation Specialist. Sure you can book Disney online and find the savings but why not book it where you get the same discount but something more.
Here's what happens when you book a trip with a Disney Vacation Specialist. First off you get the same price as booking it yourself so it does not cost you any more. But you helped another family put food on the table, pay medical bills, a mortgage or help put their kids through college. Remember this cost you nothing except how you booked the trip. What do you get in return? Someone dedicated to help you save money and plan your next vacation. Someone that will get up at 4 am and save you $700 on your trip. Someone that will answer every question about anything about Walt Disney World from the experience of my 76 personal trips.
And what is the by product of this... a relationship. I have people that have booked with me for 17 years. The honeymoon couple who now has three children and taking them to Disney. Then I have the family that went in 94 with their two kids who were 6 and 9. Now those kids are parents and bringing their new family to Disney for the first time and they call me to plan their vacation. Now how awesome is that!
I started Mickey's Travel because I love Disney and planning vacations. But here is what happened that started it all. http://mickeystravel.com/HowItal%20began.htm
Thank you all for entertaining this post and my venting but I just had to clear up any misconceptions. Also anything I post on these boards will be factual and I will try to answer any questions to the best of my ability.vincent@mickeystravel.com
