Whats the closest supermarket to Disney?

Just wondering if we need to stock up, whats the closest supermarket to go to?

Depends upon what you are after. If you want basics, head to Publix. If you want a larger selection of organics and health food head to Whole Foods.

Walmart sells food too, but there is so much there we won't buy, we don't bother.

Target sells food, in some stores (Super Target). The selection isn't that great, but the food is ok.

Meant to include, closest depends upon which resort you are staying at. AKL for example, the closest would be a Publix.

There is a Publix also, just behind the Premium outlets and that is pretty close to SSR, CBR, PoP ect...

There is a grocery store at the Cross Roads Plaza but NO ONE goes there unless they want to pay beyond stupid prices for things.

This would be Goodings. They have some decent prices but it all depends on what you want.

Publix or Super Target would be my choices. Wal-Mart is fine as long as you are not buying fruits and vegetables. Their produce leaves something to be desired.

Is it still Gooding's? I know it changed hands at one point. Last time I was in there, the place stank to high heaven, rotten produce... ugh.

Agreed on Walmart. Their meat is no bargain, either.

Goodings at the Crossroads, which is right across the street from the Downtown Disney hotels, is the closest super market to Walt Disney World and the prices are little high.

It's the closest for that end of WDW. Publix at Orange Lake is closer for Animal Kingdom lodge, for example.
