This July, Santa Claus might just earn the nickname “Sandy Claus” as he ventures to the white sandy beach at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotel for a summer getaway with Mrs. Claus. Guests will have the opportunity to meet the couple decked out in their warm-weather attire and get a taste of Christmas this summer.

Santa and Mrs. Claus will make public appearances at the hotel the evenings of July 16-17 and 23-24. Guests and the public can visit with the pair and take advantage of a unique opportunity to get a family photo with the big guy himself, well enough in time for this year’s holiday cards.

Last November and December, the Clauses left their humble North Pole abode for a vacation at the Orlando hotel before Santa’s big night. They enjoyed themselves so much, they decided to return for the summer as well.

“We had a blast last holiday season relaxing at our Tiki hut and driving around in our customized golf cart,” said Santa. “Mrs. Claus and I can’t wait to return. We’re looking forward to swimming, enjoying a steak at Shula’s Steak House and meeting all of the wonderful families at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotel.”

This winter, Santa and Mrs. Claus plan on returning for their pre Christmas Eve vacation when the hotel will roll out a full array of holiday activities. They will include a life-sized sculpture of Santa constructed of 1,200 lbs. of chocolate, an elf bedtime tuck-in service and personal Christmas tree guest room delivery.
