i think from a tourist point of view, its getting ridiculous, and getting more and more paranoid every day....there will come a time when a lot of people will say enough is enough and not visit the US again...but if you have nothing to hide then its not a problem, wont ever stop me from visiting Florida

I've been through airport security many, many times.

I have also been through a security check at the base of the Statue of Liberty. Let me tell you, they know how to do a security check. I will never feel safe on a plane again until they do what SoL does.

I just don't see how a laptop and a bottle of hairspray is going to take down a plane.

Pretty soon they won't even let us take our luggage. Oh wait, most of the airlines are now charging to take luggage.

All of this bad news this morning is making me cranky

well i would rather them do this and catch a potential terrorist and have a little inconvenience. How soon we forget 9/11 and 7/7 and all the forces that have died since then. Remember the who-ha over fingerprints? About time we started vetting people coming into our borders too. i'll shut up now

I certainly haven't forgotten those atrocities. But, I don't think will truly stop a terrorist with an agenda. This just annoys regular folks who are trying to get somewhere.

oh i will never ever forget 7/7 i was involved in it and it affected so much i was off work for 3 months so you cant say that we forget coz we dont....i missed the liverpool st bomb by just a couple of mins and that im grateful to BR for once that my train was late, or i could be in a box right now

9/11 will live with me forever as well even tho i dont live stateside

It's about to happen... for a start it'll be airports with lounges that mix international/non-international passengers, but soon I'm sure it'll be everywhere
