Should we have a hire car?

At the moment as we are staying at a Disney hotel, we haven't bothered with hiring a car, as there is no way I would drive anyway Dad has said he isn't bothered about driving as he has driven in Europe so if a car would be useful then he'll get one.

Do you think it's worth hiring one, seeing as it's the first time for the kidlets and they will probably only be interested in seeing Mickey Mouse anyway.

You dont need to hire a car unless you want to go to other places. the disney transport is excellent

We've only stayed onsite once and we had a car as well. We like to get away from Disney for a while, even if it's just to the malls. I guess it depends on what you want to do, if you want to visit Seaworld you could get a taxi.

Yes the WDW transportation system is excellent, however if you are travelling to other resorts for say a meal, then make sure to allow plenty of time if you decide not to rent a car.
Although we always stay on-site for at least a few days every trip, we tend to use our rental car instead of WDW transportation for that very reason.
Each to their own I guess.
