New - Amended MYW Ticket Policy comes into effect 3 August 2011

Disney is amending their Magic Your Way ticket policy, which will go into effect beginning August 3, 2011. This change was only confirmed in writing today.

Current policy: Magic Your Way tickets may be upgraded and days may be added within 14 days of first use of the ticket.

New Policy: Magic Your Way tickets may be upgraded and days may be added only if “entitlement value remains” on the ticket.

• What this means is that you can only upgrade tickets in person, and upgrade requests cannot be made by phone or email.
  
  
• When you upgrade Magic Your Way Tickets, any entitlements used on the original ticket must be included on the new, upgraded ticket. So if the original ticket visited more than one park on any single day, the new ticket must still include the Park Hopper Option. If the original ticket visited a Water Park, DisneyQuest or Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course, then the new ticket must still include the Water Park Fun & More Option.
  
  
• When upgrading to Annual product, if the original ticket included the Water Park Fun & More Option, and any part of that option was used, then the Guest may only upgrade to the Premium Annual Pass or Premier Passport.
  
  
• Guest may upgrade to a Florida Resident Seasonal Pass or Florida Resident Weekday Select Pass even if the Magic Your Way Ticket was used during a block-out period.
  
  
• Tourist, Military and Meeting/Convention Magic Your Way Tickets must have entitlements remaining at the time of an upgrade.
  
  
• Florida Resident Magic Your Way Tickets do not need to have remaining entitlements at the time of an upgrade.

In other words, you must upgrade or add days to your ticket before you leave on the day that your ticket no longer has entitlement value.

That is, on the day that you could no longer use the ticket to enter a major theme park, water park, DisneyQuest, ESPN Wide World of Sports, or golf course. I

f you could still use the ticket to enter a major theme park, water park, DisneyQuest, ESPN Wide World of Sports, or golf course, then the ticket still holds entitlement value, at least until 14 days from the first day of use. The 14 day stipulation remains intact.

Am I right in thinking that this will not affrect the upgrade from a UK Premium ticket to an DVC AP? I'll still be able to upgrade it to a regular AP right?
