Lightning Strike at Discovery Cove sends several to Hospital
Local news reported yesterday that 5 cast members and 3 guests were taken to the hospital after a lightning strike at SeaWorld Orlando’s Discovery Cove.
Apparently the strike was near the Adventure Photo cabana, which is close to the front of the park, and the Laguna Grill, which is the main restaurant and located near by.
Two employees are said to be at the hospital Tuesday night. The other individuals, all adults, have been released.
Lightning strikes are a daily occurrence in Orlando, and strike inside theme parks are not unknown, though strikes tend to hit high points on buildings, rarely affecting visitors or employees.
Thankfully, none of the injuries are life-threatening.
If ever there is a tomorrow when we're not together.......
there is something you must always remember.
You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.
But the most important thing is, even if we're apart...... I'll always be with you.
