OSHA fines Disney World $69,000 for safety violations
The Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) has fined Walt Disney World $69,000 in conjunction with several safety violations related to the death of a cast member. 52-year-old Russell Roscoe, a mechanic, was injured while performing tests on Primeval Whirl at Disney's Animal Kingdom on March 13, 2011. Roscoe later died from those injuries.
Walt Disney World was charged with a "serious violation" because they "did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees." In addition, they were cited for issues related to safety equipment and guardrail violations.
While Disney doesn't say if they will appeal the findings, they did announce Primeval Whirl would reopen this weekend after being closed since January of this year. Disney spokesperson Bryan Malenius said, "We have conducted a thorough internal review of the incident and have implemented several safety enhancements to Primeval Whirl, which address the concerns raised by OSHA."
If ever there is a tomorrow when we're not together.......
there is something you must always remember.
You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.
But the most important thing is, even if we're apart...... I'll always be with you.

A friend is a hand that is always holding yours,
no matter how close or far apart you may be.
A friend is someone who is always there and will always, always care.
A friend is a feeling of forever in the heart.
