Apparently the times have all changed for the hoop dee doo at fort wilderness and now the music has all been changed as well what the heck is going on anyone know?

yeah sadly this is true I'm not best pleased either.

The shows are all an hour earlier as a trial, they havent said they'll be keeping it that way but I reckon they probably will.

The most recent changes are the removal of the iconic opening song (Hoop-Dee-Doo Polka) and the Chow Down song. The changes have taken place due to legal issues around Disney using the songs in the revue. The rumours suggest that Disney "borrowed" the framework of the songs many years ago but that no one had been interested in pursuing the rights until very recently. Rumour has it that the rights owner not only wanted royalties for future performances but also back payments for the show since its inception.

The new show sounds very different with the changes and it's going to take some getting used to

We are going in November. I don't think the time changes take place until after we are there though. We'll let you know.

Been to the HDDR twice over the years....I don't remember much about it....guess it won't make a big difference for us. Actually never really understood the buzz...I think it was just so hyped before we went that it coudln't possible live up to the scrutiny.

Still as a tradionalist, I hate to see change.

It's been the first night "thing" for us for so many years that any chance really grates. Nevertheless I understand that things do need to change so I try to roll with it. I'm not sure this change will be so bearable though

I think the changes are already being made. I was in online dining last night and noticed that it has openings next week starting at 4 and goes about every hour.

I don't think that has a thing to do with legal issues. This show has been running for YEARS. I think Disney wants to add more shows in to make more money.

yeah the time changes are because they felt the later shows were stopping younger members of families going there, nothing legal. The legal problems were just around the music
