Mick get yourself a pound coin tin. I have one that looks like a big baked bean tin and you can only open it with a tin opener. I save pound coins for the two years prior to a holiday and it always has around 500 pounds in it - that's your two nights deluxe hotel stay plus change sorted!

it's amazing how quick it adds up, were back a month and I already have $42.00 saved up

We use ours to save for the extras, I put aside $25. per day for breakfast the resort mugs, one special breakfast, if we drive I usually come up with the funds for meals and hotels as well. I usually can save abot $600. in a year, sometimes more!
