Park Openings, what happens?
I feel like I should know
but what happens in the morning when they open the parks? I've never been there early enough to see but wonder if its worth making an effort

Re: Park Openings, what happens?
Depends upon the park, of course. I like MK's opening surprisingly! I'm not a huge MK fan but they do a nice presentation that ratchets up the excitement. Song and Dance and Mickey makes an appearance. It's done at the railroad station so all can look up and see it.
The AK grand opening is great too! I love the announcement, and then there are the CMs with all sorts of semi scary creatures in boxes to look at!

I agree with Tink.
It's worth getting there early, especially if it's your first visit.
At MK, get in past the turnstiles and wait in front of the train station for a special welcome from Mickey and the gang. Also, head straight back to Fantasyland for unclogged meet n greets with rare characters such as Cindy's Fairy Godmother, Stepmother and Evil Stepsisters!
At AK, a jammin jungle welcome awaits. They perform from a float but...they're RIGHT. THERE.
At Epcot, the advantage is the mass parade to Soarin'. LOL! Everyone mobs in Futureworld. There is a countdown, the characters go into the Character Spot, and everyone else walks in a controlled mob to Soarin'. MOST people get Fast Passes. My recommendation is to just get in line and wait 10-20 minutes. Then you don't have to worry about coming back later.
I've never been to HS at the opening except for Star Wars weekends which is fun anyway. Storm Troopers and Boba Fett interact with the crowd.Gwen
