Disney Gives A First Look at Tim Burton’s ‘Frankenweenie’
Walt Disney Pictures have given Entertainment Weekly our first look at the new stop motion film from Tim Burton, ‘Frankenweenie’. The film is based off Tim Burton’s live action short film from the 80′s, that while being wildly popular, also caused Burton to lose his job at Disney. At the time, the studio had deemed it too dark and scary for kids and families, but have recently come around and asked Burton to return and do the film.
The movie is about a young boy whose dog is hit by a car, so in a move pulled out of Mary Shelly’s ‘Frankenstein’, he reanimates his dog and brings it back to life. Burton decided the best way to tell the story now, was through his signature stop motion that has made him a household name with ‘A Nightmare Before Christmas’, which he produced.
Frankenweenie’ features the voices of Martin Short, Martin Landau, Winona Ryder, and Catherine O’Hara, and will be released October 5, 2012.
Thanks to Entertainment Weekly for the pictures.
If ever there is a tomorrow when we're not together.......
there is something you must always remember.
You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.
But the most important thing is, even if we're apart...... I'll always be with you.
Winne the Pooh - A A Milne

A friend is a hand that is always holding yours,
no matter how close or far apart you may be.
A friend is someone who is always there and will always, always care.
A friend is a feeling of forever in the heart.
