Thanks to Wendy's brilliant advice, I was able to book the Fort Wilderness Holiday Sleigh Ride ON CHRISTMAS NIGHT!!!!!!!!

I'm so flippin' excited I can't even sit at my desk!!!

So we'll have Christmas morning breakfast at Whispering Canyon, lunch at the GF Cafe, maybe have a wander through the World Showcase to hear the Storytellers or a tour of the resorts depending on crowds. And then that night we'll pack up some hot chocolate (and grown-up hot chocolate) and maybe some munchies and take a sleigh ride through Fort Wilderness. PERFECT!

Ok, quick question....

The CM that I spoke to when I made the reservation was saying that our time slot (10:30) was perfect because our sleigh ride would be ending just about the time the last HDDR let out and we could just take the bus straight back to All Star Sports. Now, is she telling me that there is a bus directly FROM Fort Wilderness to AS Sports? (Seriously, that IS what she said). Is that new? Or was she mistaken?

I was just planning on bussing over to DD or DHS (which has EMH until 1:00 am) and heading back from there.

Actually, she said there were still spots available for each day of the month, though times were getting a bit limited (especially for the dates right around Christmas).

Call 407-WDW-PLAY to make reservations and tell them you're interested in booking the Fort Wilderness Holiday Sleigh Ride.

I think it's a BARGAIN for $60 at Disney (especially to have something "concrete" to do on Christmas Day).

Yes, Wendy is right. They begin at 5:30 and run every 30 mins. The information that I'd read initially said until 9:30; however, when I called they offered me 10:30 on Christmas night. I'm not sure if that is a standard or if they are just running later because it's Christmas Night. I was also offered times on Christmas Eve, and was REALLY torn. But since we already had our plans for Christmas Eve, I opted for Christmas Day.

10:30 initially sounded a bit late, but I decided we could always take a cat nap during the day if we wanted, and since we don't have young children I think we'll be fine.

SOOO can't wait!
