Walt Disney World cancels outdoor activities 3rd & 4th January 2012 because of cold weather

Walt Disney World along with several other counties in Central Florida are under a wind chill advisory, as they are experiencing an unusually cold weather.

The wind chill will send temperatures, in the normally humid area, into the high teens.

Walt Disney World has deceided to cancel several outdoor activities for Tuesday 3rd January and Wednesday 4th January:

• Boat rental at the Resort will be closed. Guests can still rent equipment at the marinas, with the exception of the Caribbean Beach Resort.
  
  
• Pirate specialty cruises have been cancelled for both Tuesday and Wednesday (January 3 and 4).
  
  
• Pools and hot tubs at the Disney hotels will be open, but no lifeguards will be present.
  
  
• Evening campfires at the Contemporary, Grand Floridian, Polynesian, Yacht Club and Beach Club have been cancelled.
  
  
• All Spirit of Aloha dinner shows have been cancelled.
  
  
• The nightly outdoor movies will be moved inside, but have been cancelled at the Contemporary, Grand Floridian, and Polynesian.

Looks like we got back just in time....although I'd rather be there and cold than here and cold!

Of course it has been like record warm in the East untill now. Wore shorts and tevas on New Years Eve and was comfortable..and that was in Virginia!

Think the weather will improve over the next few day...I hope

High near 60 tomorrow, 68 the next day then into the 70's~!

WE had a super cold weekend, and the first days of the week were aweful too, but today its been much better
