It has been confirmed that the President will visit the Magic Kingdom on Thursday 19th January 2012. Due to this there will have to be some operational adjustments:

  • Main Street USA will be closed to guests visiting the Magic Kingdom from the time that the Park opens until late afternoon, after the Celebrate a Dream Come True Parade.
  • When arriving at the Magic Kingdom main entrance, guests will be pointed to an alternate route that will take them to other areas of Magic Kingdom. Main Street USA will reopen sometime in the afternoon.
  • The Emporium will be closed but will open later in the day.

  • Celebrate A Dream Come True Parade is scheduled to start at 3.30pm

  • Revised Times Guides will be available at all Parks and Resorts beginning Wednesday morning.

  • Guests staying at a Disney Resort Hotel will receive a letter outlining the changes and Channel 19 on in room TVs will be updated.

  • Baby Care Center and First Aid will be moved to a lounge located to the right of the entrance of Space Mountain.

  • Disney’s PhotoPass photographers on Main Street USA will be relocated to other locations around Cinderella Castle.

  • All WDW Transportation will be running as normal. However, traffic congestion and delays are possible. Please allow extra time for travel between theme parks and other areas of the resort.


NBThe White House is handling invitations to the event. Park Guests will not be able to attend without an invitation.
