Disney’s The Lion King to Launch U.K. National Tour
Disney’s The Lion King, still running at the West End’s Lyceum Theatre where it is now in its 13th year, is to launch a separate U.K. tour, beginning performances at the Bristol Hippodrome Aug. 31, prior to an official opening Sept. 6, for an 11-week season.
In a press statement, Thomas Schumacher, producer and president Disney Theatrical Productions, commented, “We continue to be thrilled by how UK audiences have enjoyed The Lion King in London, and have long wished to also share this production with audiences nationally. Following years of planning, and after receiving the counsel of some very smart friends in the British theatre world, we are delighted to be launching a production that conveys Julie Taymor‘s epic vision and at a moment that feels absolutely right.”
Since first opening on Broadway in 1997, The Lion King has played in 15 countries on 5 continents and been translated into 6 languages. In addition to the ongoing original Broadway and London productions, it can be seen in Tokyo, Hamburg, Sapporo, Madrid and on tour in the U.S. T
he UK tour of The Lion King will be the 20th production to premiere internationally.

If ever there is a tomorrow when we're not together.......
there is something you must always remember.
You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.
But the most important thing is, even if we're apart...... I'll always be with you.
Winne the Pooh - A A Milne

A friend is a hand that is always holding yours,
no matter how close or far apart you may be.
A friend is someone who is always there and will always, always care.
A friend is a feeling of forever in the heart.

Re: Disney’s The Lion King to Launch U.K. National Tour
I had an email yesterday about this, i went to the website and for 3 "normal" seats it was £55 each - just cant afford to pay that amount of money

Found a "cheap" one which was £32 - and it was that price cus there was a piller infront of it partially blocking the view!!!
