Disney's Port Orleans Resort present it's own Mardi Gras Mini-Parade

If you're visiting Walt Disney World during Mardi Gras, then make sure you go to Port Orleans French Quarter where you will find yourself surrounded by giant Mardi Gras decorations.

A little known fact is that each year Disney Cast Members working at the POR host a mini Mardi Gras Parade. Each department chooses a theme and then turns a golf cart into a decorated float, previous year's floats have been Splash Mountain, Peter Pan's Flight and The Haunted Mansion. Cast members will usually throw beads and other trinkets to the guests watching the parade.

The floats are judged and the winners receive certificates in categories such as "Best All-Around", "Most Creative" and "Best Themed".
