      Thank you all for your kind words. Two and a half months left before our Disney vacation. We cant wait. Just have to confirm the dates with my wife and book it through our Disney Vacation Specialist. We get excited every time our vacation approaches this one will be the best yet as it will be our first at a Deluxe Disney resort and the one that we are considering buying into. We will definitely be taking the DVC tour again while we are there getting the feel for what is available from Disney Directly as we are getting very close to pulling the trigger on our membership. The only question is whether we go through Disney or go through the resale market to do so.

      Currently I am leaning to the Resale market at this time. The Timeshare Store states that by purchasing through the resale market only restricts your membership by not allowing use of points towards Disney Adventures, Disney Cruise Line,and the Disney Concierge collection of hotels and resorts. Apparently all of the addition all resorts are available for points usage. Buying through the resale market will allow us to purchase more points at the resort that we prefer. Currently that is Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa.

      It's been ages since I knew much about resale, but I honestly didn't think there were any differences between the two (other than price and availability of home resorts, that is).

      I know that once purchased, Disney can't tell if you bought resale or directly from Disney. Or at least, that's the way it used to be.
