A Magical Reunion for a Military Family at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Earlier this month, our Youth Events and Park Event Operations teams helped create a magical reunion for a member of the U.S. military and his family at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Cheerleader Jill Wigle and her family were at the park to participate in the Varsity Brands, Inc. National High School Cheerleading Championship. During the competition, participants with family members serving in the U.S. military were asked to come forward for a round of applause.

The Wigles were surprised with a video of patriarch Matt Wigle wishing Jill good luck in the competition all the way from his station in Kabul, Afghanistan. But the real magic happened after that clip ended … see for yourself!
