What to do in orlando on non-park days?

If we're there for two or three weeks, we wouldnt go to Disney or universal on every single day

Sure there'll be some downtime I hope LOL some lounger days but other than that, what are some good things to do and see in Orlando or Florida in general?

Re: What to do in orlando on non-park days?

Will you have your own transport?

If so, many people like to visit the beach for a day. I'll send you to the Atlantic side, as I am a true Atlantic ocean lover. Cocoa Beach is an easy ride from Disney. Other folks will send you to the Gulf side, which is a nice experience too. A bit further from WDW (though not much). St. Pete's Beach is nice.

Blue Springs is not far from WDW (heading north out of Orlando) and if it's cold, you will see manatees.

The lighthouse at Ponce Inlet is good. Be ready to climb though! I forget how many steps to the top, but it's long. Two hundred and something???

There is a nice science center in down town Orlando, and a few nice museums if you like that sort of thing.

If you like to "antique" there is a strip on Orange Ave, (north of Colonial/50) that has several shops worth poking around in...

All depends upon what you like to do!

no disney this trip, last time we went we did disney everyday except for 1 day at kenedy. so we all decided we will do the above.

fly to new york pick up dcl and cruise to castaway cay then get off in fort lauderdale then stay onsite for 1 week in disney
this will be 2014 for my 40th
