Red Phone Boxes at the United Kingdom Pavillion in Epcot

Have you ever wondered why there are red phone boxes in the United Kingdom Pavillion at Epcot? Are they just part of the scenery or do they actually work.

Well, wonder no more, they are all working phone boxes with incoming phone numbers. Disney Imagineers put them there so that their Guests could have a spontaneous conversation with a someone anywhere in the world. It may all seem a bit strange, but in reality it's Disney Magic at work.

The numbers for the phone boxes are (don't forget to add 001 if you are calling from the UK):

• Right Phone Box: 407-827-9861
  
  
• Left Phone Box: 407-827-9862
  
  
• Center Phone Box: 407-827-9863

The next time you need a Disney World fix, call one of the numbers, when Epcot is open and speak to someone right there in the UK Pavillion.

If you are near the phone boxes and one rings when you are passing, go in an answer it, you could be talking to Peter Pan or someone from anywhere around the world.

Back in the day, before we moved to Florida and would visit WDW, that was the big request! "Call me from the UK in EPCOT, ok?!" LOL.

It was an innocent bit of fun.
