Mickey Dolenz to be the Closing Act at the Flower Power Concert at Epcot

The Flower Power Concert series suffered a huge loss last week when Davy Jones passed away, Davy was scheduled to be the closing act of the whole series.

Based on suggestions from fans of Davy Jones and The Monkees that they would love to see Micky Dolenz at this year’s Flower Power concert series, Disney agreed with fans that it would be a fitting way to remember Davy, who has been a mainstay of the event for more than a decade.

Micky will appear be at the Flower Power Concert Series from the 18th to the 20th May.

While you can't replace Davy, I feel Mickey is a good alternative.

Mickey is a good choice. Good and fitting for Davey's fans. Oh by the way I think I remember that Mickey was in the running to play Fonzie on Happy Days but was beaten out by Henry Winkler...somehow can't think of Mickey in that role.
