Re: The Lone Ranger is a Go! The First Picture is released by Disney
Bonanza was a term used a lot by miners when they hit a large vein of whatever they were mining. The series took place in Nevada where the famous Comstock Lode was.

Arrrgggghhhh....
All this talk reminded me of another one! How bout:
Wanted! Dead or Alive.
starring none other than Steve McQueen.
but Bat Masterson starring Gene Barry was one of my favorites!
Tom (
... so many old westerns!)

Re: The Lone Ranger is a Go! The First Picture is released by Disney
It really does John. Seems like back then, while there were only two or three channels that we got on our aerial, there was always something worth watching on. Whether it was the old Westerns like these, or "The Ed Sullivan Show", "The Carol Burnett Show", "The Gary Moore Show" or even the old sitcoms like "Leave it to Beaver", "McHales Navy", or "My Favorite Martian", there was always something to watch.
Nowadays I get 350 cable channels, have a Tivo to record things with and, with very few exceptions, there's still nothing worth watching on.
